STC Conference was in Las Vegas this year (2006). The conference was in a casino hotel and for a while I thought that flashing lights and mesmerized gamblers would be the overriding image I would take home with me. Fortunately, we had planned a day at the end of the conference. Get a load of the imagery that dominates my memory of my week in Vegas.

At the first lookout took three pictures that I later stitched. In the beehive to the left, the second shadow is a hollow in which stands my sister-in-law. Yes, they do call that formation a behive. And yes, it is that big.

Technical writing conferences can be a bit stodgy, but one day's outing will wipe out all the yawns.
